Climate controlled storage units protect objects of significant monetary and sentimental value from extremes in temperature. Our climate controlled storage units are housed in a well insulated building with a MERV rated filtration system that assists in regulating temperatures and decreasing the impact of dust and pollen. Photographs, compact discs, vinyl records, electronics, cell phones, wood furnishings, and many other items should be stored in a climate controlled building. Yes you do. Using a lock to secure your items behind the door to your storage unit is required for your own protection. We sell round disc locks that are specially designed to fit our latches in the leasing office.

Your rental agreement with us is on a month to month basis. The initial rent payment is prorated to the first of the month. Rent thereafter will always be due on the first. Once a new month begins, you are responsible for that entire month’s rent.

The rental agreement you sign upon moving in requires you to give a move out notice at least 10 days prior to vacating your storage unit. You may give notice of move out online through your login account, or you may provide a member of our staff with a written notice. In addition to in person delivery, your written notice can be given after business hours by email, post mail, or the office dropbox. If possible, we appreciate giving notice one month prior to your move out date.

No! At East Woodmen Self Storage, we keep extra fees to a minimum. We do not ask for a deposit or an administration fee in order to rent a storage unit from us. We trust that you will leave the storage space in ready-to-rent condition.

We want payment to be easy for everyone. Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are all accepted forms of payment. You have the option to set up auto-pay. By doing so, you are authorizing East Woodmen Self Storage to charge your card automatically at the beginning of each month. We encourage customers to set up auto-pay, in order to 1) avoid late charges and 2) make paying rent more convenient and worry free. You may also pay your bill by mailing us a check, paying in person, or providing a credit card number over the phone during business hours. After hours payments can submitted online or delivered using the dropbox.

Individualized access codes and advanced technology give us the ability to grant customers access to their storage units 6am - 10pm every day of the week, 365 days a year.

Yes. We offer insurance for purchase when you begin a lease online or in the store. Tenants pay their insurance premium together with rent every month. The insurance we offer during the leasing process is provided by a company specializing in storage insurance. Your insurance rate will be based on the value of stored items. We encourage you to buy insurance from the company of your choice to cover any potential loss of property while storing with us or elsewhere.
